Interfaith Florida is
a non-sectarian statewide alliance of caregiving organizations who provide a wide variety of free, home-centered
services to individuals who are in decline due to either age, chronic illness, disability, being poor and otherwise disadvantaged
or have other various vulnerabilities.
There are 45 Faith In Action chapters
located in 32 counties throughout Florida who are members of the state collaborating network. Each chapter is an independent
and separate charity with its own mission, programs and services. Some chapters are hospices, some are mental health
agencies, asthma organizations, AIDs and Alzheimer's family foundations. Some chapters are children's disability
non-profits, family service centers, senior centers and Parish nursing programs and still others offer home repairs, transportation and
daily telephone caring calls. Some organizations are independent, stand-alone organizations and others are part
of a large, corporate chain establishment, but all are required to be not for profit incorporated organizations with an interfaith,
volunteer component.
Interfaith
Florida and its Faith In Action member chapters are focused on working together to build
stronger and more sustainable interfaith non-profits while expanding the number of people served and the range of care provided.
